Rambling House seeks positive, hardworking team members. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Able to comfortably lift at least 50lbs
Perform routine kitchen tasks assigned daily
Assist chef and sous chef in assigned tasks & pivot to new tasks and learning opportunities as assigned
Follow a prep list
Label and stock all ingredients, maintaining set organization system
Prepare ingredients to be used in cooking: washing, chopping, cutting, measuring & weighing, sorting, and prepping
Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes
Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food
Prepare simple dishes, such as salads, sandwiches, and sauces
Aid in café counter preparation and assembly
Maintain a clean and orderly environment by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, trash removal, etc.
Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
Clean, sanitize cooking and prep surfaces before, during, and after shifts
Track inventory in collaboration with kitchen team and management to order resupply
Maintain a positive, professional, communicative, and honest approach with team members and customers
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
Patience, Common Sense
Attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Good physical condition and endurance
Consistent team player
Willingness to learn, pivot, take on new tasks
